Yes, ofg, really and I'll have to have Becca take pics and post them when she can for me. I'm not able to do pics right now due to computer issues.

I wasn't able to post more updates yesterday because my battery had died.

Now we're on our way back up there with more birds and stuff. We sold almost everything yesterday and even managed to barter a few chicks for a dozen and a half guinea eggs, 23 BCM eggs, and 3 dozen Bourbon Red turkey eggs. We thought we got the better end of the deal, because we managed to unload all of the brown leghorns we had taken up there that way.

Today, I plan to talk to a man with an Alpine doe - she's bred and he's only asking $75 for her....don't know though if that's a good deal or getting someone else's problem.

We'll let ya'll know how today goes!

We're so busted!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Becca and I had brought some geese - the two pairs of Embdens and the Roman Tufteds because they just weren't working out on our farms - Romans weren't reproducing and frankly, those Embdens are too dang mean!!!!

Anyhoo- --- all our geese (not my Sebbies) had come from Bourbon Red - so who shows up at our spot?!

:hide

We had a good laugh about it, but I was like oh snap, we're busted! LOL

I asked if he was upset if we weren't keeping the geese and he said no, and I was like well good, because they have GOT to go!!! lol

Anyhoo - we're having another really good day! So far have made more than yesterday - even with making some purchases  ;)

So today, I picked up 2 pairs of 2 month old bantam mottled cochins, a black cochin hen with 8 babies (thinking about selling the babies while I'm here).

I might yet be leaving with a couple goats...

oh! and someone here is selling a camel for $2500........................

heck no I ain't getting THAT!

You can milk a camel ya know. You could be the beginning of a new trend here. I would imagine that they would be pretty food/water efficient, too. :idunno

I DID NOT BUY THE CAMEL!!!!!!!!!!!

But I did get an adorable 5 month old Pygmy doeling!!

We're on our way home now - trying not to hit any Amish buggies or anything on our way out - I mean, there's so many flippin' buggies and Amish on bikes you'd think we were in Amish country or something

It was a good day!

And we're sooooooooooo treating ourselves - or is that poisoning ourselves? - with ice cold frappe's on the way home...

Tomorrow it's back to healthy eating!!
