Im so sorry about your chickies! Arkansas weather is unforgiving too. Roxanne may have liver disease. That's how I lost my BR Eva. Her belly was swollen and she was not laying. I thought she was egg bound but could not feel anything. I took her to out vet. There was nothing I could do for her but let her go. She was 2. I hope for the best. Losing a pet is hard.
Hmmm I hadn't considered she may have some other problem. The swelling is less now. There was an odd empty soft shelled egg in the coop today. I was hoping maybe that was the problem.. she is looking just fine, other than a bit of a swollen tush area.

Hopefully that was it. Sometimes enternal layers have alot of fluid build up too. You can't feel anything like an egg, but the eggy fluid just keeps building up in thier bellies. I'm glad she seems better. Give her lots of love.
