Self Insufficient: My procrastination list

My list only has one chore today as of this morning...NOTHING else is going to be worried about until this is done....

SECURE INDOOR BROODER SO NO MORE WEASELS CAN GET IN.

Thanks, Pat. I haven't allowed myself to cry, because other people have suffered worse, and I don't have total devestation here, just a few losses. But I was MAD!

What kills weasels?

Bigger weasels?

I doubt there is a huge lot of point in killing it as it will just be replaced by one of the many other weasels around, but still, you could get a weasel-sized live trap and bait it with catfood, see if that works for you (some people yes, some people no). Once it is in the trap, your choice what to do with it.

They can squeeze thru REALLY teeny openings, unfortunately. Sometimes steel or aluminum flashing can be strategically nailed across weak points.

Thanks, Pat. We are burying tin around the outside walls, nailing the wall closer to the 4x4, and seriously thinking of pouring a cement floor!

ETA: this commences as soon as I am done nursing the baby!

it could be anything...I had a skunk kill a few chickens along with coons....so who knows what is lurking.

and with the type of land we have, those critters are all around us.

The adjacent farm land has been sold around us...big homes on lots. Well those skunks and coons, fox etc. moved to our woods. Now there are more on my farm then before. But I handle them..LOL

My list probably won't get done, since procrastinating is my middle name. Haha. I never get anything done.

- Feed and water all animals (ok, that will get done )
- Break down and store away all saltwater tank equipment
- Clear and clean corner in living room and move small table to it
- Do at least 2 loads of laundry
- Do a load of dishes
- Start working on a resume
- Organize bookcases
- Unpack boxes sitting under the table
- Clean rat cages/Move rats around as needed
- Count change and roll coins
- Pay Rent
