Thanks to all who responded, I figure it will take some adjustments when they actually arrive. There are two adults and a ewe lamb coming. I just hoped it was safe enough to start out with.

Your feeder is totally sweet. How big is it? Will you have to refill it often?

My feeder is a hanging plastic bucket with a 2x4 fencing 'window' it spins so much my sheep have to run around it to get the hay, so funny to watch. It's kinda small though, and I have to refill it often. It is a temporary fix, when I have time to make something more permanent, I may just borrow your idea.

it is 3 feet wide, 2 feet deep and 3.5 feet tall so it is pretty small, I just wanted something to keep their hay and grain off the ground, it will have to be filled daily. We also made another one with more leftover wood exactly the same but without the hay rack in it for treats, etc also.
