We have the same problem as you... our floors are FREEZING, and with holes in the stone foundation big enough to stick your arm through the crawl space is also freezing.SheriM said:Wonderful idea, except the hay is all in large round bales. What we did was buy sheets of 4'x8', 2 inch thick insulation (I think it's called extruded polystyrene?) and cut it to fit between all the joists. It's still cold, but now we can at least get the house warm. Before we insulated, if the wind blew hard the kitchen cupboards would fly open from all the drafts
