Lovin' The Homestead
Hi everybody. Boy, I sure didn't realize how long it's been since I posted here. Things are going well. Since I last posted, I've gone back to work, had 27 baby goats arrive healthy and strong (for the most part), gotten 40 some-odd meat birds, sold 18 of the 20 puppies and...drum roll please...
Added one more new friend to the growing menagerie....
This is Dancer. I have no idea what breed she is, but was told she was a chuckwagon pony. I picked her up at a local auction for less than $200. The only other bidder was a meat buyer and I just could NOT stand by and see this gorgeous lady go down that road. She has a slightly crooked front leg and may end up being just a pasture ornament, but hey, WHAT an ornament!
