Last update on canning supplies unless something significantly changes. Stopped by Walmart in Middlefield (Amish community area). Ball and Golden Harvest jars and lids in great abundance. Shelves packed, two end caps stacked higher than I am tall.

All the other stuff well stocked.

Got 3 dozen wide mouth jars, 6 doz wide mouth lids

i could easily live off sweetened condensed milk. so, yeah, works for me.

Grandma raised one of my uncles on canned goat milk. He had an issue with cow milk, and she had a milk production issue with him so had to supplement.

This morning the moms are hearing "powers that be" say don't water down formula and, don't try to make own! Really, if they aren't breast feeding and baby can't eat solids -- WHAT do you think they'll do????? Yes, nutritionally not as good? But better than nothing. All we send to other nations and nothing available? For weeks?

Frustrating. Sad. CRITICAL.

They need to come up with a formula to make at home. Many people alive today, fed homemade formula.

PLUS.….…with ever increasing prices, our fight back is....don't buy anything you can do without! Talking clothes, appliances, etc.

I think my moms recipe was one can evaporated milk, one can water and spoon of karo syrup. We survived and thrived on it. And NO SOY! Babies aren’t made to eat soy. It’s just wrong.
