I don't expect anything more than the regular supply chain hiccups. It's a big country, there are a lot of roads. If I lived in a city I might be more concerned?

USA trucker convoy protest PLAN is also apparently about vaccine mandates for truck drivers.
Thats my take on it all as well. It's not something I'm fretting over.

I was told that. I don’t know. I mean all I can see is them inconveniencing the unprepared. I wish them luck and all but really my protest will have a bigger impact. I am an unvaccinated nurse who is fixing on taking a bridge tender position rather than accept the vaccine 🤷‍♀️
My uncle, a trucker, explained that a lot are protesting, and most of the ones who aren’t in the convoy are for the cause but staying on the roads to get food to people. I know some places were trying to restrict gas, and people with gas cans were coming out to help keep the convoy going.

Yeppers...the shortages are taking a back seat to prices. It's related in that transport and availability of parts/contents/containers, etc cost more. I'm not happy with any of it. But I am happy to be able to work around most because of own SS & stocks of things.

Another situation for many is the rising cost of housing. To buy OR rent. Over $1k for a one bedroom apartment.. It's all a big mess. Big!

Have some older seed. Well kept. At cost of those, if only 1/2 germinate I'm still way past buy cost! Saving seed is very important this year for every gardener.

I read about bird flu at a Tyson plant in Kentucky and having to cull 480,000 chickens. So while in town, I was at dollar general and it came to mind. So I decided to check the prices. I didn't slide the tag over, honestly, it was like that when I snapped this picture. I couldn't imagine trying to take care of 480,000 CCX stink bombs.

32oz (2 lb) package chicken breast, boneless, skinless $6.95. up from $6.50

Also while at DG, I had to grab tooth paste. Man I never seen the medication isles so bare and I got the last 3 pack of the brand of tooth paste I like. Could just be a local thing... But I was surprised to see the scant (Inadequately supplied; short) shelves in the medication isles. I got a gallon of milk also, I left 3 gallons, the dairy shelves were scant also.

I was at walmart yesterday. Only noticed one bare shelf/section. I didn't check what the item was - a section of a freezer bunker.

Avocado prices may go up o they may be in short supply temporarily.
