So - Your House Is Locked - Right?

I make my place look like I ain't got nuttin, and I'm gettin pretty good at it. :gig

Same here, Tallman! Nothing worth stealing and I always leave the key in the front door. I'm with the thought that dishonest people will get in anyway and honest people may just need to use the bathroom or phone.

My neighbors are the best crook alarm ever....they are so nosey that they watch all the comings and goings at my home and notice anything.....and I mean anything going on. They could easily identify offenders by their vehicle make, license plate, what color of clothing they wore, what they had for breakfast.........

Beekissed that is so funny!

Reminds me of the time we went to my grandmothers to visit when I was a kid. Grandma looked out the window at her neighbors house and said "looks like they changed a lightbulb in the kitchen. I see a lot better now."

Mom and I were floored!

:yuckyuck

You may think that is funny but that just happened to me yesterday at work.......I came in and one of my co-workers said, "I drove by your house last night around 2 am and your lights were still on!"

I looked at her and said that it was because I was still up.....and she wanted to know why! :th

I'm tellin' ya folks....nothing happens here that someone doesn't notice and tell everyone else! Country livin'..... :P

There are times that I wish that I had neighbors that close. The home of our nearest neighbor burned down during the middle of the day,a few years ago. We were home, working outside, and didn't know it until a few days later when we drove into town..

During the summer, you can't see our home from the road. Also, we are the only home on this section of road, so we get very little traffic.

It is peaceful, but being somewhat isolated does have its' drawbacks.

Maybe your neighbor is writing a book! :idunno

We have a neighbor lady who is always canning and such. A couple of years ago while canning with a friend, they ran out of sugar right in the middle of their project. It's 15 miles to town, but our house is only 1 mile away so they came over here, and with nobody home, walked right in and got what they wanted. The friend of our neighbor was :ep. What the friend didn't know was that that's the arrangement the neighbor lady has with my lady. It's worked so far.

Any door that doesn't have a bolt lock (if you are just locking the door handle) can be gotten into very easily with a simple credit card...I have done it a million times to show my friends and family how easliy thier house can be accessed with absolutely no damage or evidence, right through the front door.
Morel your showing your dark side. :hide

The bump key will work on a dead bolt, and you can learn how to make one on the internet. That's not good. :rant
Haha, nope...not at all, I simply grew up being famous for losing housekeys...and had a friend from the 'dark side' show me that I didn't really need any :lau :lau

the best defense sometimes is a loud dog and an observant neighbor

:lau Glad it wasn't just my grandmother that was like that!

We lock up as a deterrent, but honestly, there isn't much worth stealing in our house.
