I remember watching the Big Bang Theory once, a very specific clip about Whatshisannoyingface trying to teach Penny something. I swear they listened in on my brother and I, except my brother swears at me more..

My brother got the geek genes, I got good hair.
I take it that's a TV show and for some odd reason epitomizes the ditsy blond. I know I will get man points taken away but never liked the 3 stooges because it was so stupid but admittedly watched every episode closely followed by Gilligan's Island.

Your brother may have got the Levi's and you the good looking mohair but as it seems a cashmere sweater too.

Good catch on the DDT, as long as you didn't look it up. Most people wouldn't get the connection unless a hint of it being a pesticide was insinuated as the word by itself is meaningless to many not around in the 70's when it was purported to be a very bad thing.

dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane would probably make my neighbors grandkids turn purple and grow a third eye, but it might help the wilt problem.

Oh man, sorry to hear about your garden troubles. I commiserate with you. I am fighting early blight on tomatoes and they look pathetic. Makes me mad because I went to all the trouble of digging up a brand new patch for them. I guess we have it in the soil all over. :tongue

And I have to add:
Knock knock knock...Penny
Knock knock knock...Penny
Knock knock knock...Penny
Best. Show. Ever.

And - BB, you got way more than good hair and don't you let anyone tell you otherwise!

What am I missing? how do you go from moldy melons to a kitty cat to the big bang? Is this what Steven Hawkins meant by the GUT? as in the Grand Unified Theory, or the more inclusive TOE? Theory Of Everything. Does reading Richard Feynman's QED, Quantum Electro Dynamics make me a geek? Is unicorn really the new white meat?
The answer to your question ... all of them... is 42!

Actually, one of the reasons the show is so stinkin' funny is that Penny is not truly dumb and has enough confidence in herself not to be completely intimidated by the geeks living in the apartment next door. The Sheldon character has NO social skills but is uber smart and that makes for some wet-yourself laughs....especially if you are prone to geekness or have close friends/family members who are certifiable geeks.

If you got a dvd or two from your library and played it for your plants, I bet they'd perk right up. Laughter is great medicine! :D

You all have no idea how proud I am that so many of you are BBT fans :D

(Abi is an honest to goodness girl version of Sheldon. We have had the "was that sarcasm" discussion so many times :gig We have discussed making a flag to wave when sarcasm is employed...)

Absolutely!!!

and Sheldon's always pulling out that roommate agreement!!!

So far, our favorite episode is when Sheldon was "training" Penny by rewarding her "good behavior" with a chocolate - :gig

SKR8PN, sorry about your garden :hugs

My fave, too!!! It was hysterical!

That is one of the few shows that you can watch over and over, knowing what comes next, and still laugh hysterically!
