Journey and Kansas sound a lot alike to me. I don't know if Journey did it and I didn't see anything saying they did.

Foo Fighters did it and a Christian group did also.

Actually, I believe Carry On My Wayward son was written by Kerry Livgren of Kansas....who later became a Christian after much searching.

He then started a band called AD. And has had a few CDs out since that.

And you are right, a Christian band recently played that song as well. Most likely with permission from Livgren.

I've got a number of Livgren CDs. I'm a guitar player who appreciates great guitar playing and he is one of the best there ever was.

FYI he also wrote "Dust In The Wind"
