Spelling and grammar

LOL, my fellow speech assistant is from Rhode Island. She does therapy with kids who need to improve their /r/ sounds! She can at least laugh at herself. I have a tendency to drop the /g/ from my /ing/ endings. Or should I say endin's?

I am with 2dream on this one. The point of communication is that people be able to understand each other, not to all talk the same.

I also mentioned before (I think at BYC) that I am a professional proofreader for probably the smartest and most successful person I know. He makes gramatical errors all the time.

Okay, I'm going to "axe" a question here. Is it okay to say "don't got any"? THAT is my pet peeve around here. Noone bothers with verb tense at all, even when dealing professionally in their jobs. Do they not even hear how uncouth this sounds when they are talking to a doctor about a patient?

I don't got anything to say about that.
