Its great to know that rolly pollys are edible. Since they are so small, it would take alot for a meal. But one dont need enough for a meal. Cook and add to a salad, that way they would give you a bit of protien in an emergency. Or add them to a soup or stew. Just ideas.

Ive eatten a bug before. But not that kind. Ive eatten a chocolate covered ant. It was only a tiny bit of chocolate. They were crunchy. It was for a school project, of another kid, in 8th grade.

To bad rolly pollys are hard to find in my area. The ones that roll up we just played with and released. The ones that are common here, look much like them, but dont/cant roll up.. I wonder if those ones are edible too..

my yard is a rolly polly heaven apparently. That is one of the reasons I got ducks. They go crazy when I turn over rocks and pavers so they can get at them.
