I could use some prayers for my brother and his girls. It has not been easy for them since his wife died. And, he's really having some major problems w/the younger girl.

And, I could really use some prayers for this leg of mine. I think I posted someplace that I have an appointment w/the surgeon next Thursday. If at all possible, I want to wait until after Christmas to have this leg taken care of. I have so much I'm trying to get done, and I KNOW if I don't have it all done by then, it will drive me crazy to sit back and look at it all. But yet at the same time, I keep missing prayer meeting because my leg just hurts so bad by the time I'd need to leave that I don't go. We haven't have a PM church service for a couple of weeks now, so that helps on Sunday, but I really, really hate to miss Wednesday! And, next week, I'm supposed to have a 4 H leaders meeting on Monday, a trail riding club meeting on Tuesday, prayer meeting on Wednesday, then my doctor on Thursday. That's 4 nights in a row I need (or want) to be out in the evening, and if we have church Sunday night, that's 5. Then, we have a church activity planned on Saturday. So, it will be a busy week. :/

Praying too Denim Deb! And thank you everyone for the ongoing prayers! We had the best service tonight! A woman from Vietnam came and told us about her ministry for the children in Cambodia who are sold into prostitution by their families as early as age 5. You could just feel the Holy Spirits presence and her faith and meekness was amazing! I didnt have much money only about $30 to last for the next 8 days, but I gave all the cash and change I had with me. As I was leaving the pastor stopped me. I hadn't told anyone I was broke, in fact if anyone asked I told them we were doing fine(which bills and everything is paid-so we are!). Anyway someone had given him $100 for our family! I refused it at first but he insisted. Next week my bills were going to add up to exactly my check and I wasn't sure what I was going to do! I was so blessed in so many ways tonight!

rebecca that's awesome! :hugs

Deb, praying for you too hun :hugs

Will you all please pray for DD? She just KEEPS getting in trouble, and is SO disrespectful and rude. I have about had it with her, and I really want us to get along. It's just. so. difficult. I NEED for us to get along better. I finally had to resort to spanking her tonight :/ She hasn't had one in...well years actually, but I had to this time. I've literally done everything else to absolutely no avail. I have always believed after a certain age a child should not require such punishment, that reasoning should work but uh....it aint sinking in!!! Pray that it gets through to her to quit mouthing off and being so snotty and disrespectful to her daddy and I. I am much more likely to tolerate it here at home but now she has stepped it up and is mouthing off to me in public, and I will NOT tolerate THAT at all. I want her to take me seriously when I say "okay watch your mouth," but the child is blatantly unapologetic. She fails to see a single thing wrong with her behavior. Prayer is all I got left with this one. She is bent on always being a tyrant :p Seriously...please pray for our relationship. She's getting so distant at such a horrible time. I'm already the evil step mom so it's bad enough already! :(

Cindy, so sorry you're having so much trouble w/DD. Sounds a lot like my sister at that age. It took a lot of prayers and patience on my parents part for her to come around. :hugs

Rebecca, what a wonderful story! It makes me think of a modern widow's mite type story.
