Good luck with that! A friend won't eat my home-raised chickens because "they walk in their own poo", but eats TB all the time. Umm, how does he think they keep the prices low?
And how many times have I driven past "farms" where hundreds of beef cows were standing in their own poo. All day. Nowhere else TO stand.
:sick

LOL Abi beat me to it, and with better points. ;)
I'm there!!! I'm just amazed at what passes for common sense these days.

I would be more concerned about the cheese sauce they use...

Had rabbit last night. I find it easier to raise pounds of rabbit than pounds of chicken. Maybe I should just plant up more food for rabbits and get my feed costs down. I have about 3/4 acre not in use yet.

Most beef around here is grass/hay fed too. My rancher friend (who said he'd split one with me) buys cottonseed meal as well. I haven't looked that up yet.

Now if only I can get started with turkeys this year. And my geese will produce. They've sure been breeding like crazy! If I end up with 3 goslings each this first year, it will be a good start. I may need another freezer tho.

I think the whole Taco Bell thing is just a lawyer stunt.
I agree, but I would not take bets on WHOSE lawyers it is a stunt of. It could be someone looking for attention; but IMO it could also perfectly well be a publicity stunt by Taco Bell itself. (Gets yer name in the media, gets you to be able to have lots of free advertising 'hey our taco filling is nearly-all nearly-beef', etc)

Call me a cynic,

Pat

With just my little back patio, I do what I can lol. But I suffer serious farm envy around here LOL. Someone will have to adopt me. I'll come learn how to do all these great skills :D

*puts herself up for adoption*

I come with many books, a kitchen, 2 awesome cats, and a strong dose of surreality. :gig
I understand. I had to let my little farm go and spend some time in a tiny cabin where it was far too cold to grow much and too many bears and mountain lions to consider livestock. I had serious farm envy too.

Unfortunately I can't adopt anyone with cats. My little miss queen kitty rules the house with an iron fist and tolerates the fatboy she was raised with, but there would be a screaming full out attack if any other cats DARED enter.

She's the tiniest thing too. Part Siamese (tiny bone structure) but without the length of bone. Looks like a small football with the stance of a bulldog.

I'd love to have someone around with your particular set of skills though. My sewing could use help!

My girl is tiny too LOL. 6 pounds of half siamese attitude ;)

:D
Oh then I bet they would NOT get along!!!

Wasn't that your cat that attacked the other cat being bathed in an attempt to "protect" you from it? Or do I have yours mixed up with someone else's?

LOL I have a German Shepherd going about 110 pounds right now and he does NOT mess with her!
