GAWK! :love

Could you point out the maple syrup that you helped make? :)

Are you nearly done canning for the year or do you have more to do? And does it bother you to take a jar off the shelf after all that work?

Show-off  But I would be too, if my pantry was that full (and pretty, and organized, and roomy, and . . . ) :thumbsup

I'll have to take another picture to get the syrup in one. It is just to the right in the very first shot! :gig No we are NOT done for the year yet. We still have our regular potatoes to can, some chicken still needs to be done and HOPEFULLY I will get some venison so we can make venison stew!!.

As far as taking a jar off the shelf? I LOVE to be able to go down there and be able to eat the fruits of our labor. It makes me proud that we can do that. I think my mother would be proud of us also.

That's incredible!! It'd be fun to know how many hours you have spent preserving all that amazing food! Is that corn in one of the shots, or popcorn? Yum!

Obviously you eat what you store ans store what you eat.

So my question is when stocking the pantry do you calculate, say "we eat corn once a week so we need 52 jars". Or it based on supply, good corn year so we have 80 pints.

How large is your family and does your supply last all year, or do you need to fill in some with store bought goods?

I showed my son the pics. He loved looking at all the different jars and even noticed the Gamma Seal lids.

I guess so far this year I am ok with my tomato sauce, jams and pickles. I really did not do to well on veggies and I still freeze my meats. Most are store bought.

I will need to work on that for next year.

Such a leaning curve. Thanks gina
