LOVE the minnie mouse nightgown. My kids cannot wear flannel pjs.....they sweat like crazy and all I can get them to wear is cotton and my son definitely has a future as a naked or underwear only sleeper. :p

That's funny Lori. Some of my family is the same way. But most of the year we don't use heat here in So. Cal and a warm nightgown is just enough.

Okie these feed bags are a woven plastic. I guess that would be the best way to describe them. Many on the forum have converted them to shopping sacks one way or another. I sewed a couple last year and they turned out ok. Some people sew them by hand with the original string even.

This grommet idea is the most simple I have seen. The top of the bag is rolled over for reinforcement and then the handles made.

I think I am going to make some similar but try to reuse something else for the handles.

Well I kinda gave up on the journal thing. You all so so much more interesting things going on. I rather spend my time reading than writing.

Anyways I have a funny story to tell.

My neighbor who is recovering from knee surgery today calls me and asks if her friend can stop over and pick up eggs today. I said sure no problem. About the designated time a gold Explorer comes up my driveway. A Spanish speaking lady gets out and says hello. I ask her if she's here for the eggs. She says yes and hands me a business card. It's for house cleaning and handyman services. I figure shes the neighbors house keeper. We talked for a couple min and she says yes and shakes her head several times while talking to me. So I run in the house and bring out the eggs. She says thanks and leaves. Not giving me any money. hummm????

So I started thinking. About 5 min to late I think. Maybe that wasn't the right lady. We communicated like two people who spoke different languages. We could have been talking about nuclear war for all she knew.

Well about an hour ago my neighbor and her sister showed up. Sure enough they had no idea who the lady was and thought the whole story was quite funny.

I think I'll chock this one up to karma. The nice Spanish lady will maybe come back for eggs again someday. Who knows.

Oh, I took a couple pictures a little while ago. My kids went out on a walk about. In search of pine cones and trouble. This hill is the western slope of our house. It is an undeveloped two acres of land. I have been throwing seeds out there in hopes they will grow on their own. Anyways I took a couple pictures. Goes to show what a bit of rain can do down south. I wish I could fence it in and put a cow out there.

I know that lady probably went home and told her family all about the crazy gringo lady at the top of the hill. "She gave me eggs!!!" Loca chicca!!

I wish I could just bring a cow home and let it wonder around out there. Maybe I could trade beef for use of the land. Oooo now thats and idea. :D
