It is. In fact, this is the biggest travel time in the States. It's all about food, family and fellowship. (And American football)

Apart from the football it sounds wonderful! 
Our only big family get-togethers was for Xmas, when I was a child, but nowadays it seems that is also turning into a big commercial thing... I saw a cartoon on FB, Jesus talking to Santa, asking him why is everything writing to him (Santa) when it's his birthday. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
