yup--his back.

his lower back was not good, he did 'something' so over the last few days he has been fighting it.

then yesterday he bent over to put on a pair of socks and WHAMMO....down he went.

last night spent on the floor in the living room and he didn't sleep...pain. So this morning off to Dr. Out of work 5 days with spasms....xray did not show herniated disc....but if the improvement doesn't work, then off for a MRI to see if it is herniated. He is no go, so slow and pathetic right now. ugh

steriods, pain shot at Drs., oxycodone, and muscle relaxors...yea he should be a drugged out trip here in a little bit for sure.

so will see about improvement or the stupid MRI situation.

I tell ya....and say this all the time...it is always friggin' something :)

off to get some stuff done, we just got back and DH (the king) wants something to eat....shoot me now please :p

My sympathies. My herniated disc didn't show on Xray either (according to the regional VA radiologist, fwiw which isn't much IMO). Hope the MRI is much clearer for him, as it is very frustrating to be in pain and have radiology claiming the Xrays are "normal".

Ouchies!

I've had lower back issues here and there over the years but as I've strengthened my core with lots of walking and stretching I seem to be doing much better in recent years.

Hope he feels better soon, whatever the cause, and that they find out quickly.

Ouch! Poor guy; I hope he is feeling better soon.

And :hugs to you. My DH has been more or less helpless with a badly broken ankle for the last 3 months. He has really been very good about it, under the circumstances, but it gets old really quickly being the only one in the house that can move . Hang in there; this too shall pass. (In our case it should be better after his second surgery at the end of this week)

Edited for spelling

thanks everyone for the sympathies--I need them as well as him

yea dfr--I believe it could be herniated only because the pain level and his one leg is going numb kinda....so we shall see in a bit if that darn old MRI is needed.

:hugs to you both!

Mom just went through this very thing with my stepdad. His right leg is nearly useless due to his stroke years ago. About a month ago, his left leg started going wonky on him and he finally asked her to make him a drs appointment. Nothing in the x-rays but the MRI came back as a herniated disc. Fun, fun, fun! :/
