Building new cages. When I sold out to go on the truck with hubby I sold most of my pens and cages. Won't be doing that again!

I found a pallet company not too far from me that gives away their scrap. So we went and got a pallet of boards. It was a pallet full of 1/2 inch x 4 inch boards that were 2-3 foot long (no nails). Figured they would be good for the backs of the rabbit cages I am building. And in a pinch I can use them on the top and staple a feed bag over the top. So that is good. We know the guy that loads them and when I explained what I was wanting to do he got me a pallet packed 4 foot high. And we can go back and get 2x4 pieces if we want. Figure heck, cut them in half and use them as kindling if nothing else. So if you know crafts that would use half inch by 4 inch boards 2-3 foot long let me know! Lol

I build things out of scraps, reject lumber and used lumber. Those could be used for a chicken coop.

I made 2 of these cages and have another started. I put a feed sack over the top for a water barrier. Now if the rain will go away long enough to finish....
