i don't think it rained hard enough to challenge much of anything last night. it ok, just have to be patient and wait until a real rain storm happens...

brrr! taking out the trash this morning it was 2F. i did not take much of a look at the stars as i'd have otherwise done. the wind was up and i was up too, but i didn't really want to be... 
useful day today, quiet without interruptions for a few hours and so i was able to get the first good release of my program posted. the previous versions were useful but not to the point where i wanted them to be to call them version 1.0.0, so now it is out and i can do something else for a while this week.
i have beans to combine and get pictures taken, i have website stuff to work on, worms that i should check on, a room to clean some here or there (not too much all at once as it might make me go into shock )...

bench seat that i did a while ago. finally got the pic uploaded. note, i only did the tile on the seat, the owner was going to repaint the rest...

Mom got her step helper yesterday and tried it out and she was ok with it. i was worried she might not be coordinated enough to do it but she was fine. big relief as it does help her quite a bit.

the local seed swap is on. March 3rd in the afternoon. i have been told i have a table and will be able to get a ride. info will be going out on some facebook pages, etc.

i actually got out for a bit of a walk yesterday. first time in a few months.
three young deer ran towards me a lot more than i thought i would. the field and road i was walking along are wide open, they should have seen me a lot sooner, or so i thought, but they didn't stop running at me until about 50ft or so away. then they ran to the north. maybe they hear better than they see. i wasn't trying to walk quiet or anything. just on the road clumping along...
HVAC coming this afternoon to check on the furnace. some funky electric smell once in a while and that's the only thing down there running this time of the year. guessing fan motor getting ready to reach EOL. haven't had anyone look at it in several years so it's ok with us. hope it doesn't need anything else, but it is quite old now (almost 30 years for some of it, some things have been replaced already over the years, fan motors, control board, heat exchanger...).
