Making it legal would take a terrible burden off of the jail and court system
See that's the problem. Jails and the court system need fodder to justify the money they get. If they don't arrest pot heads sitting around watching the discovery channel and eating cheetos, they might have to actually go after violent criminals. That's DANGEROUS!

100% illegal,..no question.
It is none of my business what other people do in their spare time...assuming they are adults...and not receiving public assistance.

illegal is my business. if that terrorist is sitting home smoking a joint, watching discovery channel, easting cheetos and just happens to be making that bomb to blow up a big building filled with workers, hmm...is it then not your business. if you know?

the jails are full of violent and dangerous criminals.......just so happens tons of idiot pot smokers and drug dealers clog up the sysetm cause they don't have brain one cell left.

I feel much more in personal danger from the crystal meth brewers who actually do blow themselves and others up on occasion. Not to mention pollute the air in their neighborhoods for miles around and poison their children. Or the heroin junkies who nod off with cigs in their hands and burn down apartment complexes.

What kind of terrorist are you refering to? Most terrorists that have been apprehended have been fundamentalist of different stripes. Fundies don't typically "pollute" their bodies with anything.

I'm just curious if you have a report on a terror inducing pot smoker.

I think those idiot pot smokers should be able to take their one brain cell and sit in the privacy of their own home, eating their cheetos. It is NONE of my business what someone chooses to do in their own home. Even if they are building a bomb or having sex with a monkey on a jungle gym. It's when they bring it outside that it becomes a problem to me.

Terror inducing pot? Are you sure its not the cheeto's fault?

What in the world does terrorism and pot have to do with each other?
You simply gave a substance a dangerous attribute by throwing terrorism in the mix.

The part about the terrorist making bombs covered with cheeto dust would be the part I'd worry about, not what they are smoking.

If the terrorist really wanted to blow up a building, I'm sure they would anyway. I don't think pot would have anything to do with that.. other than maybe relax them. And if they didn't have pot for that then they'd probably dip into the bubbly.

First let me state that I do not smoke it (DID twice in my early 20s).... that being said - I think it should be legal for adults. Not only for the benefits it can bring whether you smoke it or grow hemp or use it for strictly medical purposes. Doesn't matter why you legalize it - some people find a way to use "legal" substances in a negative way. My reasoning is this - how many native & non-native plants have dangerous/hallucigenic properties? Dutara, Jimsonweed, nightshade, Fungi all can cause a "high" but can also kill you. So can Foxglove, castor bean & many, many others. It should be left up to the individual to decide what risks to take for their life. Many cultures use plants in many "dangerous" ways that are accepted for their culture. Responsibility should be placed on the individual. Who would think of using Iodine, chlorox & other caustic chemical agents to make drugs???? But they do all the time in making meth. In our area the meth is rampant & it destroys people.... I'd rather they use weed - at least it doesn't destroy them. Either way - it is that person's choice - we all choose our own lifestyle & anything can be used to the extreme wheter plant origin, alcohol, porn, food or whatever. Responsiblity & control are the keys. Like mentioned above ---- stupid will be stupid whether they smoke or not.
Also as far as to "a" cure for cancer (not arguing that mary j is) - I am sure there is one but it is too big of a money maker to "cure" it. Cancer is one of the largest money making areas in the medical industry - they will not give that up regardless of the number of people dying from it. Cancer provides both money & population control....

But the debate was about the uses & whether or not it should be illegal :idunno

It's another hot-button issue that not everyone is going to even come close to agreeing on.
