I don't keep up with everything, but you did mention the crockpot.

I have one of those double crockpots and just saw this week a triple crockpot that I have my eye on.

Right before bed, I fill them up. On one side, I put something on the warm setting for tomorrow's breakfast, like oats, millet and cinnamon (with water plus extra). Perhaps dried fruit. Or quinoa with canned pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. It's always ready and delicious. Eat/empty, leftovers in fridge, and soak the crockpot during day.

On the second side, I put in tomorrow's dinner: pot roast or ground beef or an old stewing chicken. Add various veggies, garlic, seasonings, potatoes. Add water, of course. Put it on the low setting and you'll have a very tasty treat for dinner.

After dinner, put away leftovers. Put both crockpots in the dishwasher, and when they are clean, start the next day's meals.

Change up the meat, seasonings and veggies and you'll come up with lots of easy meals that don't taste alike.

Tonight I'm setting the oats/millet/cinnamon on the left, and split peas with bacon and garlic on the right. Add a little bread and a sliced raw zucchini to the plate and it's a fabulous meal.

Agree with what the others: everyone who lives there should contribute to chores. I liked that idea about the auto water/feed things. Gonna have to do that myself.
