I worked at a Ford dealership and all of the sales people collected key fobs. When we sold a used car that only had one fob, we would go through our collections until we found a matching fob. We took the key and put it in the ignition, held the fob close and turned the key on-off-on-off a bunch of times (without turning the engin over) and clicking the fob at the same time. It usually worked. Then we had a programmed fob and a happy customer!

Wow, the switches arrived today! I'm SUPER happy that they look like an exact match... I'm shocked how lucky I was to find such a perfect match just by skimming some SMT switches on ebay!!!

Did I mention these things are TINY!?
