Turmeric Milk

I bought some turmeric the other day so I'd have it just in case. What else is it used for? I tried a teensy bit and it is very but it might be good in a recipe or something.

Also, I don't have any ginger except the crystalized ginger. Can I try to grate that, or dice it finely and use in the milk concoction?

Here you go . I kept the recipe, but haven't tried it yet.


Turmeric milk for colds

2 cups milk
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ginger (or 1 T fresh grated)
4 peppercorns, crushed
optional: honey and cinnamon to taste

oh- and how often should one take this for a cold? every day for the duration? twice? three times a day?
