Wal-Mart Mishap, would you demand a refund, or free item?

I would have brought it home for pure entertainment!
I've seen something about stupidly decorated cakes recently and if I could have made a buck from the publicity of this one I would have.

But the question posed was: demand refund or free item? I would take it and see which of those they offered in addition. Its called negotiating from a position of strength, lol!.

Not only would I take it (no refund or exchange needed here) I would get the biggest kick by bringing it to my family for all of them to laugh at. We would be laughing about that for days. :p

Me too, redux, but not with that nasty grease and powdered sugar "frosting". Maybe a nice German chocolate cake....

But I'm ot again. I would not ask for free item or a refund, but would have asked them to remove the error, which would have been fairly simple. Of course if I were the employee who gave that cake out, I'd surely be offering a dozen cookies or something as a goodwill gesture.

i think i saw that cake on Cake Wrecks. there are some REALLY REALLY bad ones on that site (my personal fav being this one).

as for this one, i guess it would depend on the situation. i'd probably ask for a discount because i like to get what i pay for (well, i wouldn't be buying a cake from Wal-Mart to begin with) and they should do a decent job. if the cake was for family or friends, i would take it for the hilarity that it would bring.

i'm pretty sure this one was for someone's co-worker's retirement. in that case, i'd want a new cake. while i might think it's hilarious, the person who is being celebrated might not think it was an appropriate time for linguistic tomfoolery.
