We got our taxes done this morning. Three weeks from now we might have some cash
DD appears to have strep. I made her some tea with honey, lemon, and ginger this morning before we left. By the time we got back, her tonsils had gone down a LOT and her throat was no longer hurting. I told her she has to take it three times a day till she gets well, and to keep her butt IN the house. This cold air won't do her any favors. I guess she likely won't be going to church tomorrow.
I'm making some buns and chicken patties for lunch...may heap on the garlic to get kid better quicker too...wonder how that will taste heavy on the garlic? Maybe I'll just heap it on hers She probably can't taste much right now anyway.
Her throat looks like it has been through a meat grinder...ugh! She probably picked it up from the doctors office Tuesday :/ That kid never learns a thing. I guarantee she did NOT wash her hands when we got back, though I tell her to every single time, and did Tuesday as well. I get so tired of babysitting her. Maybe if she gets sick enough she'll learn. I still have to tell her when we sit down to eat, to go wash her hands....we hold hands to say grace, and I am NOT getting her cooties or I wouldn't even bother to tell her then. I'd let her get sick instead. That sounds mean, but she is just so stinking pig headed it frustrates me to no end. At 15 years old you'd think she had more sense than that by now. Guess not :/
Anyway, I gotta get on it if I'm going to have this stuff ready before lunch!!
Chicken patties were gooooooooooooood!!! Rave reviews across the kitchen table They are suprisingly easy, and shhhh!! I made them healthy...lightly fried in olive oil in a skillet on the stove top rather than yucky deep fried in not-so-good-for-you oil They were better than others I have had if I do say so myself. I got a wee smidgen heavy on the garlic, but the no sodium... you couldn't even tell! They were very flavorful, and I WILL be doing them again SOON!
