Today was a good day. I'm exhausted as usual, but it was good. We gave out 193 watermelons since yesterday afternoon. It was hillarious at the bank this afternoon. I went to Bro. J to check in and make sure we didn't need to help him get rid of some of his load, he gave me a box of grapes. I had to go to the bank....well I asked the lady at the bank if she wanted some grapes, and she said yes, and checked with everyone else, so we slid 6 bags of grapes through the little slot thing in the bank drive through, and just to be silly I asked her if I could deposit the other 3 into my account and she cracked up....which got us acting even sillier...it ended with her telling me to have a "grape" day  I love cutting up with them. You'd probably have had to have been there to catch the humor, because t was just so ridiculous...at one point she was worried about someone pulling in behind me, and I said we're CLEAR! GO! GO! GO! and the other lady in there had cracked up too. Then the bank manager came out and he wanted some and was cracking grape peddling jokes...it was just goofy. :p We're crazy. I tease them about giving everyone suckers and never getting things for themselves so I throw grapes and potatoes at them ;)

Today i gotta go pick up hay, take a few melons to my cousin, and take photos of her goats for a CL ad. I need to plant some green beans and get some broccoli set out, also need to plant corn, but......I highly doubt i will have time for everything. R is sick and hurt his back, and I am not feeling my best, and those watermelons took their toll on both of us the last few days. I'm just still very worn out. As of yesterday we got rid of 210 melons in less than 24 hours time. I think that calls for a backache  Maybe some rest is in order today, for just a little bit. I do have to get laundry going too, and am going to start a pot of beans for dinner. I need to get the animals finished up, and set eggs today as well. SO MANY little things need doing!!! I may concentrate on those and worry with planting later in the week, though it looks as if Saturday may be the soonest I can. DD has to work this weekend, so I won't have her help, but maybe R will feel better by then. We're still mid coop build as well. There's just so much crap to do around here. I need to hire about 5 young handy energetic guys for a couple days to knock some stuff out for us old folk  Maybe then, we'd get it to where it's "manageable" at least!

Good grief! I got one kid in Kentucky with a new phone having a great day, one at moms(niecey) with the flu being unbearable, and DD16 is having one of her "off" days here...what a wide range of emotion and events lol! I'm going from conversation to conversation between the three of them, on the phone, on the computer, and face to face, and changing gears so fast my mind is almost tripping over itself. And some folks say being "mom" is easy...sheesh! It's actually hilarious (and sad too) when I think about it though...I'm "mom" to all three of them(somewhat to kid in Kentucky anyway) and not a single one of them is my biological kid :/ Oh, and my little neighbor baby girl down the road is messaging me on facebook to come set up her computer to take her homeschool tests the end of the week

In other news, R has the flu too, as does E. E called me crying before S(in Kentucky), wanting me to "make daddy take her to church" :p Riiiiiight, sorry kid, you got the flu, and we have a brand new baby at church who just fought off jaundice, and several old folks who just got out of the hospital. You're staying home!! She got mad at me and wouldn't talk  Where'd I get so many kids anyway?!?!?!

I went to the sale barn with my friend J today, just to look. They had almost 900 cattle. They ran a bunch of goats through first, some pretty Nubian spotted bucks in that group. Then they ran through 6-100ish pound hogs, sold for $683....for 6 small hogs!!! I about fell out of my seat at that price!!! I needs some hogs!!! WOW! If I can get even $1 a pound....that just really impressed me what that guy paid for those little hogs!! Anyway, the cattle were...mooey...that's about all. I wasn't really all that impressed with those, no minis, just standard everyday cattle. Nothing really exciting. We had a good time chit chatting though, and the old men were flirty, which I always find funny for some reason :hu

I came home and got laundry going and cooked breakfast for dinner. That's about it. I feel like I wasted the entire day, but.....I really don't care at this point :p It was a good day regardless.
