Why do people move into a place because they just love the atmosphere and then want to change it? Happens here a lot. City folks love the small town lifestyle and then after they buy property here they want to change it because in (insert big city name here) that's the way it's done. Too bad your friend can't get a really BIG dog. Maybe then the cranky neighbor would appreciate a pig.

Years ago, I was going past a place that sold 3 wheelers. They had a larger one w/it's front tire up on the seat of a smaller one, then an even smaller one next to those 2. I almost died. I don't know if they did it on purpose, or if they just weren't thinking. (Or, I'm just warped)

Little piggie is fine in her new home. It rained today, so no boyfriend yet...but we'll get there.

Today was stock up shopping day. I did what I could lol! Most things were such a steal it actually paid me to stock up now. With everyone fussing about the drop in FS benefits, they should be paying attention right now. I got cheese for $1.50 for the Kraft(which I usually don't buy) and bacon for less than $3 per pound. Also got DH sodas for $2.75 a 12 pk. If he was not narcoleptic he'd be quitting, but it does help supplement his meds and I have seen the man without them and it aint pretty! He dozes off way more without caffeinated drinks. So, I'll take the funny looks when buying 8 or more 12 pks on govt. bennies. They can just kiss my toe if they don't like it! So, those are gone for the month....and we have enough to scrape by on till the next round in 3 weeks. I sure do miss my garden!!! I am starting some lettuce inside tomorrow though, and we have peppers growing right now in the living room from last years starts. That'll help. I'm also going to pick a metric ton of greens sometime this next week to make up some difference in the food budget. Hope someone gets an unwanted deer soon too. The only thing we don't have enough of at the moment is meat, so we will be strictly rationing and these crazy carnivores are gonna have to do veggies a few times a week more than what we're used to. Makes me wonder too how the fish are biting right now. :D BUT all said and done...we did pretty darn good to stretch the dollars. I used a ton of coupons and filled out 3 rebates, so we came out pretty much dirt cheap on most everything in comparison to normal prices.

We have to replace the car battery....it has been stalling out in the middle of the road on us..turns out to be the battery. Also turns out the battery is $100 so now we wait. :p I'm looking for a better deal, so far I only found one for $88, but that's better than $100!!! I hate money being so tight, little things tend to be so much more aggravating. Glad we have the truck, but DD is complaining about fuel costs to get her to work since she has to pay up on that lol! Poor kid. Reality has a distinct bite to it sometimes.

I made stromboli for dinner. It has meat, but not as much as they usually eat. Shhh, I actually don't think they noticed :p I sauteed a bunch of veggies for filler and it turned out pretty great actually :D I am soooo beat though. Too much social stimuli today. Usually I like to be out, but I don't know if it's the weather or what, I just hate leaving the house lately.

I'm garden planning already :hide It keeps me sane when everything else is kinda wonky ;)

Hope everyone had a great Saturday!!!

I spent the day cleaning. I think I'm getting sick or something because that's not like me at all. I don't have fever or anything :p Well anyway, I got the bedroom cleaned, and swept and mopped everything, and laundry is finished. I'm getting ready to set up to start my garden seeds. Is it not February yet?!?!?! :( I'm so ready to get it going! It was pretty nice here today so hubs set the pepper plants we're overwintering out back to get some sunshine....and stupiddog dug them halfway out of the pots...he was not a happy camper. I fixed it though, it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't great either. She broke a lot of the new growth.

Wish I could have went to church!!!!! But, I got a lot done no less.

And......we got the car battery which will save money bc the truck DRINKS gas! I got a deal, had a $25 off coupon and the purchase was eligible for a $50 gift card which we will use to buy oil and filter bc both vehicles are due for that too. Total cash out $38 :D YAY COUPONS lol! :p

Thanks fem :) I am pleased with my manipulation of the propensity for places to run sales and toss out crazy good coupons this time of year. The coupon expires at midnight, so I got it by the skin of me teeth!!! Now if I could just find a 25% off mortgage coupon I'd be set lol!

Still no word about that job hubs has put in for a few weeks back. I am PRAYING we will hear something the beginning of the year, it'd be nice.

I know what you mean about the little things being so much more stressful when there is not much money. Glad you were able to stretch the dollars! I spent 65 at the grocery store yesterday and fretted about it too.
