Well got up this morning and made my mom cry. I didn't have her gift, but I told her what it was and it made her cry lol! My great grandmother apparently had some dishes she loved...like LOVED, and she didn't get them when GG passed, someone else did. About a month ago I found the exact pattern at a yard sale and got them for next to nothing and she saw them. I had no idea...saw her expression and she told me about those dishes. Well I buy and sell, and was looking to get my money back with a little profit and had listed them on eBay...I took them off, had already sold one, but the rest were kept and she had forgotten about them and I told her this morning I had them in storage and when I could get to them they're hers. She cried lol! So.....happy MD I guess.

That was such a great thing you did! Even with challenges in relationships - doing something nice for someone with no expectations shows what a kind person you are and speaks to your character! :hugs You done good!

Yeah, do unto others. I try to always do that, sometimes I fail miserably, but I do believe in the concept. Anybody can be a jerk, that doesn't take much effort lol! I'm just glad she was surprised and liked the gift. Regardless of anything, she's my mother.

Well I'm going to deliver them today, after I get off work, and before I go to work...my REAL work...my extensive "to do" list...that is being added to constantly. I've been so overwhelmed lately I've just froze and done strictly maintenance things. I got my head a little clearer this weekend, and I'm determined to get some of this mess sorted out. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Researching business options took up a lot of my time this weekend when I wasn't playing referee to all the drama queens. So that is limited to 2 hours a day now until I get the ball rolling on this other stuff. I've sold and gave away sooooo much stuff...I don't have a clue how I still have as much as I do!!! But I do. More selling, more tossing things to the curb, and a little more sorting and saving items I don't want rid of, which isn't much. I don't need most of it. Still so overwhelming......I'm trying to concentrate on one task at a time.

Yeah, if I just don't look at the WHOLE pile at one time...I'm trying to get a game plan going. I can't do a thing when I get overwhelmed!! It's frustrating. I ignore it and hope it goes away lol, not really....but I take breaks from it and let it nag me to death in the back of my mind. Honestly, if there weren't so many things mixed in there that I want, I'd drag it all out and set it on fire and watch it burn!
