DS slipped up - even mom is now thinking he was dogging it today. We told him to make sure he brings ALL of his missed homework home tomorrow, because he'll have ALL WEEKEND to work on it.

DS would love a meal like that prepared by a yound lady!!!

She was redeeming her prior stupidity from earlier today. back in 6th grade she had to learn to address an envelope for homeschool and it took her twenty forevers to get it right!! So today, she goes to send off a package and STILL could not get it right :th She goofed a few times and Ikind of got onto her because it just astounds me how much she forgets things. Things that she NEEDS to know how to do!! She JUST remembered her address this year and she'll be FOURTEEN next month.....I don't have a clue how the child is ever going to function in the real world. SOOOOO I am MAKING her learn to do for herself more. I MADE her go grocery shopping with me today too, so she can learn how to live on her own better. I only have 4 more years to teach her everything she needs to know to make it on her own and she acts as if me and her daddy will always be there to do it for her :hu Sheesh! So, she had to cook and show me she knows how to write a check, and she is writing letter to her grandparents for practice on her addressing issues. you'd think she wa never in school and learned anything some days.......
You know, I would be suspicious that your daughter may have Celiacs...
I had a very hard time learning and remembering things in school.
Took me 20 minutes to figure out the milk co-op paperwork before I went gluten free, and now, it takes me maybe 5 minutes.
Not exaggerating at all.
She has A.D.D. There has always been a suspicion of what her mother was doing while pregnant with her, and she does have learning issues, but a lot of them we have worked through. I think if she had celiac I would know by now as much as they have poked holes in her over her MSG allergy...she was tested for EVERTHING under the sun then including lupus and scleroderma too. That was a very difficult couple of years! I have close friends who have celiac too, I would probbly recognize it.

I get the "all the kids this age are doing the same thing" speech from the wife all the time. Last time she played that card, I asked if all the other kids were ax murders would it be okay for our kids to be? :hide
I now ask "if any of her friends are seeing this same somewhat unexpected behaviour from their children?"

Just thought I would mention it.
Mine was all neurological, so no digestion issues to give clues though.
It does not tend to show in tests :(
