I forget to tell you the oats or alfalfa are coming up, but the wheat is huge and litterally grows an inch a day.

That's cool James! I am glad you are getting it to do well so far. Lentils literally begin to sprout overnight!

I did my sprouts in soil,and I think its better because I can let them keep regrowing like grass. Plus they are VERY green.

I didn't let mine get quite green, but the chickens loved them anyway! The DUCKS REALLY went nuts!

I wouldve had more sprouts to give but there is only one tray up. Big Granny rotates the trays and waters for me everyday....thankfully.

SOOOOOOO.....we may get our power shut off because we can't pay the bill. Why does everybody FREAK OUT over that? Seriously!! I am considering if it gets shut off....just leave it off for a little while Wood heat, wood for cooking, baths would be a pain, but doable, hurricane lamps, wash clothes the old fashioned way...I see no big deal...others(even in my own home sadly) see it as Apocolyptic and I can't stop laughing. Maybe the aggravation of the prospect to begin with has made me delirious It's just not the end of the world to me. I'll survive!

we kinda had a funny happen - we had a storm that knocked out the power for several days (we were literally the LAST house in the county to be turned back on). in town people fell apart. one man was going on and on about it to a group of folks... including and Amish guy. i'm sure he laughed the whole way home...

you'll be just fine. but one tip.... i found out one of the reasons for a big meal in the middle of the day was b/c its easier to see to cook! better light and all
