EW! Yeah I hates ticks. I got two off yesterday. Crawly little buggers.

I have a blister :( We had to chop down a big tree out there and the electric chainsaw wouldn't reach, so I used a hatchet and let DH swing the big ax. It took about 45 minutes to get it down, it was about 38 inches around. I got a blister from the seam inside my gloves rubbing my thumb. It's hurty. We got the stupid tree down though, and we worked till 9 o'clock last night getting the barn framed out. Monday all we have to do is the sides and roof, so we're about a third of the way done. :woot

NO MORE BLISTERS :/ I'd rather get a cut!!

Off to church this morning :) I'm kinda glad the world didn't end yesterday ;) not that I ever thought it would, just being silly...but yeah, I enjoy going to church and am glad it is still there to go to this morning :D I need a break from the work week and time to reflect. Church is my reset button and I NEED my reset this week!!!!

Hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday!!! :hugs :hugs

I've been reset! Interesting sermon this AM. Pastor is gone, had a stand in. Ramble ramble ramble, but some fine points in between. :D

We had a good sermon too. And Pastor also talked some about false prophets, and knowing the Bible good enough not to be deceived.

Ours touched on that topic, but didn't really preach on that issue. He pretty much just laid it all on the line about the first chapter of Colosians. About how everyone struggles, and even then folks were having hard times within the church. Kind of made a parallel about then and now. It was interesting.

Another fine point made while talking with my neighbor yesterday(a pastor too) he said that the difference between the Old and New Testaments is Christ and our relationship with Him. In the Old Testament, God the Father chatted with folks, New Testament He had sent His Son not only to bridge the gap, but to bring us closer to Him. The only thing that had changed was Christ came and became the sacrifice for our sins. People still had problems. The Old Testament was written to the unsaved, the ones who had to sacrifice animals and be washed by their blood to absolve them of their sins. The New Testament is written directly to the church, the saved, the ones who had Jesus right in their midst, in the flesh, and still faltered under the weight of being human. How much more fortunate are we than the folks of the Old Testament?! We have the completed edition instruction manual, they didn't. We have the ultimate sacrifice to fall back on when we stumble and fail, they...had to sacrifice animals from their flocks. How would we be able to handle that today? I have several flocks of varying animals on my little farm..I'd hate to have to sacrifice them, and as often as the folks in the OT did. Whew! Thank God for Jesus!!!!!!!! My best friend that sticks closer than a brother!! :) Thankful, is an understatement ;)

I got my reset button, as I said before. Perspective has been altered, heart has been softened, and my faith renewed! I needed that!
