Today is a rainy rainy day. It just stopped pouring down about 30 minutes ago, has been raining buckets here since early this morning. I am glad, it gave me a chance to get some jams made. :D So far, 6 pints of blackberry jam, 6 pints and 5 half pints of strawberry :drool Next I will be doing some mixed berry jam wth all my leftovers..tomorrow maybe, it is supposed to rain again. I am trying to get enough put up for the year, we eat a lot of jams!! I have to get laundry caught up today too(and make soap) but I may have to use the dryer  Then I have to go to stupid court at 4...FOUR o'clock :barnie Don't these folks know people cook supper?! No, probably not, because most would buy something out :/ Anyway, seriously horrible timing there, but it has to be did :p I will make more butter tomorrow as well. I have about a pound or so frozen in cooking size blocks now :D I have to can some tomatoes tomorrow too come to think of it..always something to do here on the farmlette :) Hope everyone else is having a good day.

I always wonder what ya'll are doing during the day. I bet icu4dzs is doing some shaking things up again in the mayor chair today and singing filked songs to his animals while trying to think of how to squeeze in FINALLY cutting hay. Jamie is probably sitting at the computer dreaming of his garden, James is likely churning his little heart out, and DenimDeb...must be chasing down some horses with a fencepost  Let's see who else..BubblingBrooks is either rocking a baby, or studying something to do with raw milk, Nifty is likely mashing his head against the wall trying to get the changes finished up over here  um...let's see...savingsdog is filking songs and hopefully not spinning today, ofg is probably chasing the goats with a bucket or maybe a barbecue skewer...I can't think of everybody..shoot, I know there are LOTS more folks I am forgetting, but anyway that's what I see all of ya'll doing in my twisted head

I didn't make it to sleep til after 3 am so I slept til noon, dragged myself up and ate breakfast. Then I check email and here and then get ready for work. I work 2-10, so I get off work nice and late and am SUPPOSED to walk 2 miles to the gym, but I've been really draggy the last two weeks. Actually, I think it's allergies. I just feel that odd sorta worn out :p

I like the smilies on top now!! And you can jump to any page, by typing in the number.

It's rained all day here too. It's pouring right now. My strawberries were a flop. I only got a couple of handfuls off all the plants. I can't wait to go check for wild ones out by our old place, but with all the rain this spring, my car won't make it down the road and I don't like using Dhs truck.

What a DEAL!!!!!!!!! I stopped by the local feed store to get feed and asked them about their Fall seeds and if they had any seed taters. They had ONE 50 bag left over from Spring. It's not the bestest looking sack o taters, but for FIVE bucks :D how could I say no?! Regular price for that bag is $25!! There are a few I will have to throw out, but the rest look pretty good, and I will plant them tomorrow :woot :weee :weee I also got cabbage seeds and will be starting my late cabbage in flats tomorrow as well. I can't wait for the next step of gardening! This is almost as exciting as Spring planting, but not quite  I guess I'm easily excited but that sack of taters is just....beautiful to me :love :p

Oh, and court, was retarded :/ The judge asked me if I could pay the court costs and I told him I couldn't afford it, and then he said well you can do one of two things...either get a new court date, or have a trial (which is my word against the officers word mind you)

Me: for what?
judge: for a hearing
Me: but, for what?
judge: to state your case
Me: but, I already did that
judge: silence..
Me: So, basically it's my word against his(officer)
judge: yes, but we don't know what he'll say
Me: Oh, I have a pretty good idea what he'll say...the same thing he said when I argued with him when he pulled me over to begin with..
judge: Well you need to make a decision
Me: Well I don't know what i'm deciding
judge: whether or not to have a continuation or we can have a trial today
Me: well, I don't have the money to pay court costs and likely won't have then and I am NOT GUILTY (like HELLLOOOO idiot?!)
judge: well we'll give you time
Me: *wondering time for what...to rip $75 out my butt to hand to you crooks?!?*
judge: Okay we'll give you a continuation
Me: *blank stare* Ooooooo Kayyyyy

See. RE TAR DED! :/ I did get to see my buddy (police cheif) though :) He's so sweet. Talked to him for a few minutes..he's getting so skinny and elderly looking I almost didn't recognize him. It has been about a year since I saw him, and he has aged like ten years in that time :ep Poor guy, they must be driving him crazy too  Anyway it was nice to see and talk to him, but I really do wonder what is wrong, it set me back that he looked so....almost ill :hu Hope he's okay. :(

I took mom some seed taters before I left town to come home. I took our pastor some tomatoes and squash and a half pint of strawberry jam. he was PROUD of his maters  He said these are the first he's gotten, so he would enjoy them. He really needs to plant a garden! :/ I may offer to plant them one next year if they'll have the ground broke up good. Their baby girl well..she's 4 now, but baby girl anyway...she has serious food allergies, and would do well to eat local and fresh foods, but they have no time to plant a garden. She is a nurse in the cancer center of the hospital in Savannah, and he is a postmaster and pastor and they have 3 wild rugrats, so um...yeah they don't have time  I feel so bad for them though, all the running, all the fast food...just like we used to be actually, and I remember it being okay until I figured out there was better ways to live, slower ways, and better. KWIM?
