You're having cravings? Maybe, just maybe. Naw, couldn't be. Never mind. After all, it's not for pickles and ice cream.

We went and ordered a half beef for next year too because, it will still be at least 2 years before we could butcher one. I'm anxious for the cow, should be interesting. We are getting a pig soon too, but it will probably be at least next fall. Cali Buns, Delawares, Jersey Cow, Turks, Beef calf, and then piggy. Yeah that is the order of new animals. :D

Yeah I'm thinking next Fall for pork as well. Our neighbor has decided she wants to be SS too, but she'll need our help with it, so she is fronting the cash(with the knowledge of risk involved) to get the calf and pork, calf first. We have been planning the garden together too this year. It's why I started 130 tomatoes  We'll be responsible for fencing and half the feed bills. I hope it works out well and we can do this yearly, but we'll see.

That sounds neat! We have a family friend who is interested in SS livng, but I swear I wouldn't go in halves on horse poop with him. He changes his mind all the time, and goes back in forth like crazy.

We have planned a bit of the garden, I cant wait to start seeds. :D

Thats good for ya both. I, myself, probably couldnt do halves with anyone especially with major undertakings like these. I have to be in charge, but oh well. Effects of the curse.

Out of curiosity do you have any luck selling scovy ducklings?
