Sounds like you had a pretty busy day yesterday! Sorry for the rain, I'm sure you're about OVER that!!

Watermelon seed spitting ain't just for boys! My cousin Candy could spit a seed farther than anyone I ever seen! And now I'm gonna have to make chicken 'n dumplings for dinner tonight!! :drool

And :ya :clap :celebrate about the kids. I hope y'all have a great talk! :hugs

OOOoooo your own little sanctuary? I'm jealous!

They haven't let the kids talk to you all this time? That seems pretty cruel! Guess I just don't understand their reasoning behind it :/

Glad you're feeling better!

Good luck on Friday :fl

Pink, I do try to see the State's side of it, but...

It seems so cruel though - all this time they are thinking nobody loves or cares about them! I understand how it could backfire and cause problems, but geesh, it just bothers me. Then, they drag their feet getting the process completed, so the kids feel even worse. Maybe it's just my slanted view of things, but all this waiting without them knowing anything is 'in process' seems like it would cause issues of its own? :hu

Good news about the home study!

It's not only smells, but tastes as well. For me, it's vegetable beef soup. Then, I'm back in my grandparents' kitchen, outside of Orangeville, PA. They had about an acre, a huge vegetable garden, a creek (crick) at the back and down the street the neighbors had a horse and 2 ponies boarded there. Between the crick and the horses, I was in heaven. (Oh, and the neighbors also had a huge tree house!)

Ahhhhhhhhh the mom cave is beautimous! :D I got lettuce, spinach, potatoes, carrots, and more lettuce started in there today :D I had to dig my own dirt to do it, but I did it  I don't feel it necessary to buy my dirt when I have perfectly good dooty rich dirty in my own yard :p So I dug a wheelbarrel or so full, and went to work. I got it all organized, gathered all my implements, pots, seeds, etc. and took all of those out there. I cleaned up two of the patio chairs, and took those out there, and then I got my little wicker table and took it out there and I have been in that thing for HOURS today. DH asked me if I was sleeping in it...I had to think about that for a minute :p I also got the front porch cleaned off and swept, two loads of laundry done, and reorganized the feed bins, and cleaned up a bit in the house. OMGoodness it feels GOOD to be up and moving again :bun :bun :bun :bun :bun :bun

They do that with the kids so as not to get their hopes up AND to make sure the folks from the family they are calling aren't wackos. It stinks, but for the kids sake I agree with it. Like, I wouldn't want my niece to start calling her bio dad and chit chatting it up with him at her age. He is a compulsive liar and she is only 7 and wouldn't understand. It'd cause an unneccesary uproar in the family, and a lot of grief for the kiddo. So yeah, as much as I would have LOVED to have been talking to them all this time...I'm glad they are being protected ;) However...........

I CAN'T WAIT TO TALK TO THE LITTLE BUGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :weee :weee :weee
