My parents and my MIL is one of the reasons I won't move out of this area. My Dad will be 83, my Mom, 79. I'm not sure how old my MIL is. I've always said if I could build my own house, it would have an in law unit on it so if any one of the parents needed to, they could live in it. They'd be close but still have their own space. And, it would have to have 2 bedrooms so if they ever got to where they needed someone w/them to help, we could either hire someone, or have someone from the family stay w/them.

Thanks everyone :) He is indeed much better off now. He was in so much pain the last few months. Grandma is upset he didn't make it home to say goodbye to her, but she is taking it reasonably well considering all. I went up and sat with her for about 4 hours this morning. I called the kids house and told their foster mom to let them know. The two oldest remember him, but just barely. I called a lot of the family...we all did. Huge family. So we will be making arrangements in the morning. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. Please keep us in mind for the next week or so. :hugs He lived a good long 76 years, but he will be missed. The house doesn't even feel the same now, and grandma is already talking of selling it. :( We'll see I suppose.
