Time to make the donuts. I have to go to Lowe's for materials for the neighbors room. Their truck is not big enough to haul it all. Then when I get back, we have a privacy fence to destroy..er take down, whichever :hu We need to clean up the felled hickory and weedeat more there. I also have more weedeating to do, more weeding in the garden, more peas to plant, more tomatoes to set out, and a shed to clean up. Next project to tackle will be getting the roof on that garage finally. We got the screws last week, just gotta get it on there and screwed down...shouldn't be too hard I think, but that's for another day. I don't wanna cram too much into today. I also have to help get the plywood sheeting up to the roof so it can be put on. That shouldn't take too long though. I'm hoping my back holds out. It may take DD and L to help hoist it up from the ground if my back starts being a pain. Anyway, that's what is on the agenda for today. More grunt work

Hope everyone else has a lovely day :)

Well I got things done today, just not exactly as planned. We went to Lowe's and got materials...took us over 3 hours to get everything on that darn blasted crazy list and explain to the genius Lowe's guy 14 times exactly what boards, where they were, size, price and show the receipt, and he STILL came all the way back to the front of the store to "make sure" and took nearly an hour to get them on my truck  I told the supervisor they should hire me I KNOW the whole store better than they do just since this morning :p Anyway, got that done, and I got roped into being the plywood hoister upper to the roof. 21 sheets later...time to cook dinner :hu No weedeating done today. *sigh* There's always tomorrow though if tomorrow comes.

I HATE it when the "expert" knows nothing about his job. More than once, I've had to deal w/that at the 1 TSC in the area. One time, I even had to explain to a customer what a product was because the employee didn't have a clue, and I overheard the conversation.

We got a storm late last night that thought it was 'all that' - lots of thunder, lightning and wind. Well, it was lacking in one important area...rain! Barely spit on my thirsty garden! Darn show off!

DH wouldn't let me lift the roof panels up to him. I cut myself a good gash (Well, there was blood, and I wanted a break, so I whined a lot about it :p ) on a piece of steel.

What ya doing in the kitchen today? Huh? Can I help? Huh? Huh? :D

Well I didn't get into the kitchen until this afternoon. I ran some items down to the neighbors, mailed the house payment, deposited some cash, and THEN my brother called....it seems I am the ONLY person within 40 miles who has a car jack, and he had a flat tire. I am such a good sister, but that boy needs some friends to come save him on occassion :p Needless to say i drove the 40 miles to help him, then drove 20 more out of the way to get a roll of tar paper from my uncle. I saved the neighbors $20 bucks on that, and about $75 on shingles. So they are $90 to the good now on their addition. :D my uncle J owns a roofing business, and he had extra tar paper(needed only 6 more feet of it, no point buying another roll for $20 bucks if he could spare it)and he had the same color, same style shingles as they needed to match their house. They used the architectural shingles, and those are pretty expensive considering the usual cost of shingles. He just so happened to have 3 squares laying around of extras from some of his finished jobs, that matched, so I saved them that $75 from cost of new, and made him $240 in the process :) Then when I got home someone was interested in the neighbors house and pulled into our yard and asked if I'd walk over with them because they were afraid of the dogs that have been ABANDONED over there...that STILL makes me mad...so i walked it with them and gave them info on who to speak with to find out about it. They seemed really nice and REALLY cool :D They have chickens and stuff too and horses...which is right up DD's alley. Anyway........Then I came home and started dinner. That was pretty much my day.
