I do NOT want geese right now LOL! Maybe later ;) I want to get these Cream Legbars well established, and get some more turkey poults sold before trying to tackle anything else! I do have orders to get and raise some quail when the bator comes in though. Just a few, not a whole bunch or anything. Coturnix, I can handle, been there done that. And since I already have a buyer, money in the bank for me. Can't beat that :D

I just sold two poults, with an order for a definate female later on for a higher price of course. He has a friend who wants a bunch more too. I love word of mouth sales ;)

Yes. I am expanding my turkey FLOCK :p

So far the Legbars are impressing me. I turned them out into the greenhouse this morning while I got a small brooder set for them pending their coop completion, and the little pullet was foraging under every pot in there and got her a worm  It was so very cute! They are going to be good little foragers I think. Their favorite food is dried mealworms at the moment.

they do tend to be pretty intense forragers, anything with leghorn blood tends to be heavy forragers, the medeteranian birds are great for it, i think the slight natural flightyness makes them even better forragers lol.

you can definatly see the brown leghorn in the hens with thier rosey chests.

Yeah they remind me of a male Coturnix quail with the rosy chest coloring.

I thought a group of turkeys was called a rafter? Or, is that just for the wild birds? :hu
