Uh yeah, why go to all the trouble/work of doing it all yourself when ya don't have to?!?! When the chicks are two weeks old, you can introduce them into the flock and they will be instantly accepted too.
Thats what Im doing then. Cous said he didnt care and said they would all mesh together. It wouldnt matter.

I wanted your opinion because all of the nonsense off of BYC.
No problem little bro ;)
THANKS

You mean you aren't building a separate coop for the new babies and having flock party mixers every Saturday night until the old ladies are perfectly comfortable with the newbies and there is no chance of disease and.....???

Any concerns around the number of roos?
Nope. Not until they really begin maturing. By that I mean crowing and strutting, ten the head roo will knock a sizeable knot on their heads to whip them into shape er submission and such
I know when I had multiple roos, the lowest ranked roo was always looking for someone to bully. If Buff only has one, it'll be fine, I agree.

I integrated my doms at 6 weeks and they puffed up and that was it.

I take them with a grain of salt. Cous has told me several times not to listen to them on BYC and other places because they dont really get the chicken operation.
