Today is Day 3! I have planned to write hubby a little note telling him how much I appreciate him, and for DD I think I will do her chore of giving the dog a bath this afternoon.

We'll see what happens...sooner or later they're gonna both start getting suspicious that they're dying or something  So far they have noticed everything, and shown their appreciation. :love It makes me wonder what they think about it, not that I NEVER do anything nice for them, but they'll surely notice a pattern soon ;) I give it 4 more days before they start asking questions :p

I love my brat and my ball and chain

It's so cool to see someone really take off on this idea

When I started this myself I went and make a lot of appointments

Eye Doctor
Med Doc
Dentist

Need to get things in order before I hit 40 in a few more yrs. (cough 4 more yrs)

Yes I'm still young to a lot

Anyway just got back from the Dentist and got a complete check up. WOOHOOO I'm doing well only 2 cavs with some tarter of course. Not bad for neglecting them for so long. My baby came first so I waited. Darn Orthodontist. Not cheap. Next I have a physical next week and following week my eyes.

We don't have medical or dental so we have to pay for our stuff. Life on an island!!

I have also lost 6 lbs in the last week. Fit into a new pair of shorts this week.

I love your 30 day plan. I might do some of those myself. :thumbsup

DH thought the note was cute :p He said "Awwwwwww, love you, baby" :D

DD is gonna get a knuckle sandwich :/ I'm not doing the dog bath for her. I will help her with dishes instead. She's being an obnoxious grouch today...she gots a bee in her bonnet about something and wants to fight :smack So much for keeping her attitude good....but i won't give up that easy :p

UGH well I think at least I know what her problem is :/ Her teacher just sent me a list of study guides for her Biology midterm...and it is EXTENSIVE to say the least. I love that she's getting a good education, but just WOW on the part of that teacher. It's as if she thinks HERS is the only class, and the only midterm :smack I have about 50 pages of study guide to print out for DD, test is Tuesday......looks like she'll spend the weekend studying.

Day 4 Today I am going to....hmmmmm....I dunno. Anyone have any ideas?

ugh, i hate teachers like that...
but then again i also hate the idea of teaching for testing (they dont care if you retain the knowledge as long as you pass the test)
ill admit, i never studied before any test...
id reveiw the things i remembered struggling on in class and that was it...
the harder i studied the worse i did on the test...my doc said its a for of the ADHD, the more knowledge your not all too interested you try to cram into your brain the harder it is to focus on what your studying and retain that info.

it got to the point where i whent from C's to B+/A's just by stopping traditional "studying" the study hard/cram method works for some brains but not for others

mabe instead of going over the study guide all weekend tiny t by tiny bit, glae it over with her (if you can) and ask the "ok which of these areas do you feel confident, and which dont you. put makrks wiht the ones she seems to be realy confident with then start reveiwing the ones shes not so confident in, test her by asking random questins about whats in the study guide...and honestly if she starts to get frustrated, if shes anythign like me, thats it, no matter ow hard or "important" it is once the brain says "ok im done' thats it, time for a break...i just cant force myself to study and it frustrated my parents to no end untill we figured things out in terms of how much i could actually focus...
i know grades are "important" but in the grand scheme of things i absolutly HATE that aspect of "school" you should be able to learn to learn...not lern just so you can pass a test and forget about it later.

*hugs to you and hugs to the kiddo!*

Pinky, that's how she has always studied. That is why I LOVED when she homeschooled, she set her own pace. I know she won't study every bit of it, but she'll hit the high points, and tackle the things she's not so sure about. I leave the studying up to her for the most part, and restrict what activities she is allowed for the last few days before she has a big test coming up. Unfortunately for her it fell on the weekend this time :hu She has Biology AND Algebra midterms Tuesday :barnie I hope she does well!!! She wants to go go go this weekend, but she NEEDS to relax and rest and do a bit of studying, so she will be staying home. She has been doing things for the last few weekends anyway, and Spring Break is coming up the end of this month so she'll survive ;)
