Yes, big hairy cats, like fat Persians and Himalayans. The owners of such cats get uppity if you shave the leg, and you can't get a vein through the hair, so neck it is.

I used Biotracking. I mailed it in a Priority Mail box, each tube was marked and I used a rubber band to hold them together and wrapped them in layers of paper towels. I put more paper towels in a ziploc...enough to absorb it all should they get squished...and put that in the box. Biotracking has you label the bag...NOT the box...with something like.....um....oh, I really cannot remember! I did find the whole thing confusing and had to read it many times. Then it was suddenly perfectly clear. There must be a better way to explain the procedure, like a check-list.

Would have helped if I shaved the area first, but I can barely even shave my own face, so we just dealt with all the hair.

Yes, I think mailing them out might actually be the hardest part! Yeesh! I found the perfect box for mailing in the trash at the lab night when I was cleaning though!
