it was a pretty stiff breeze here last night too with gust up to 50mph. the house doesn't start moving at all until about 80mph. it was also cold last night down to about 10F with windchills below 0F. the wind moved some snow around and we'll do a few minutes of shovelling to get the driveway clear again. nothing serious, but with it being so cold i'm not really going to enjoy this. layers indicated.

Unless I HAD to go out, that snow would stay on the driveway. 🤣

Weather really decent here.

it was ok. i got it done. :) didn't want my brother to pack it down if he was going to visit today. turns out he's not coming until tomorrow. still, i did survive and wasn't cold as i did wear layers. my crocs always can get a bit of snow in them and i had to knock it off my socks when i came back in, but that was only a few minutes. nothing too serious.

This was Feb 17 2022, we had a lot of rain. Not complaining one bit... It could have just as easily been snow or frozen mix. I'm happy my property is up on a hill. Being on a hill has it's pluses and minuses. Plus, you don't have to be conserned with flooding too much. Minuses when it's windy, it's windy. It could be 20 mph gusts in town, but here, it's a lot more than that.

You can see the creek overflow about a 1/2 mile away down in the valley, the results are in the background. I suspect some one needs to bust up a beaver dam or two. Lot of row crop farm land flooded.

for deep snow i do have winter boots that are super and keep my feet dry and warm. i've walked many miles in the snows with them through the past 40yrs and now mostly just wear them for shovelling here. Mom also likes them. :)

weather is going to be warmer again today, the snow has melted again. rain and some chance of ice tonight then back to rain tomorrow. all this warmer weather has removed the snow from the ground. back to cooler temperatures later this week and a chance of snow.

wish it would snow good for a few days and then keep cold enough to have the snow around for another 6 weeks.

it was 40 F yesterday! I spent 5 hours outside in a sweatshirt :) splitting and stacking wood, watching the kids play, and cleaned out the coop a bit. Today cold and a snow storm and then in the teens this week. I wish the nice weather would stay, it is was soooo good for the soul and body. I am tired of winter.

Yes, I know the feeling! 40’s today and tomorrow, 50’s Wednesday, then back to the 20’s. I wish the nice weather would stay!
