So i spent 40 minutes in line for my normal grocery shopping. Lines to the back of the store. Shelves were low, but not bare. No one hoarding the water, milk, bread, and potatoes. I think the potatoes were hit hardest along with a few other veggies and fruits. What can I say, we keep it weird here. Everyone was polite and nice. We all chatted while waiting.

Remember salt isn't usually used here. Everyone is planning to try and stay off the roads until they are cleared. Schools are half day tomorrow to get kids home before it starts.

Everyone is poking fun at the coming snow.

We did get out warm temps over the last week, warm being relative to the season. Our highest was 37 on Monday. We are back down to 3* this morning, with a windchill of -27*

The front has passed through overnight. Heavy dusting of snow. Still coming down, but nothing to get excited about.

Good grief, Hinotori, they only underestimated that one a bit!

We had a storm pass yesterday, lots of wind and rain and some hail in the afternoon. Today is calm and sunny. I'm curious to see what is next. At least it's warmer, we're comfortably above freezing, even though we had a bit of snow the other day.

Thanksfully, I see that we are in the light purple not the dark. 8 to 12" will be enough.

It has been snowing all day here, but we only have about an 1 1/2 of new stuff so far. We are supposed to get another system coming through on Tuesday - for another 4-6" and then one more later in the week for an additional 4-6". Hard to say what we will end up with.
