Right now, lots of lightening, wind and thunder. I believe, and hope, the worst is is staying south of us-not that anyone needs it. Here is the app per my phone right now. So warm....and to think by morning it will be in the 20 degs and snow. They are predicting a flash freeze overnight so school might be delayed.

We just had a heavy gust of wind blow the grill off our deck, down the stairs, DH said it's out by my car. (I should have parked my car in the shed...) My greenhouse was moved north. It's still on the patio. It's attached to an 8'x10' 4x4 wood frame. The roof was off. (probably should have taken the walls down) I bet wall panels blew off too, but that's normal for us. I think we'll have one more pass of storm in the next hour, but it's all quiet now - just distant thunder as it rolls away. The squall lasted <5 minutes.

ETA: I sure would not want a direct or sustain hit of this storm line. I'm worried about a friend that lives a ways south who lives in a mobile home. There are no storm shelters, and she has severe social anxiety, doesn't drive, etc, so I always worry about her ability to get somewhere safe in severe weather.

Haven't been outside yet to see if any trees are down or any damage but we made it. It is now 30 deg F and all the rain and snow melt from yesterday is freezing as out temp today will be 19.

brr! cold and windy can make for ice on the drive and i hate to have to deal with that.

hope all are ok with these winds/storms.

She is okay. Power is on, no damage to her house. A "very large" branch fell on her deck. I'm so thankful it wasn't on her house! That would have been devastating for them.
