Pretty much just mud. That’s what my road looks like now too. And half the roads in town. No way an ambulance or fire truck is making down any dirt road in town. Road agent is going to have a fun Monday morning answering his phone

If you drive across it.. does it stay at the 2 inches of mud? With something firm under?

Or... do you drive across and suddenly your car just keeps sinking ever deeper until you can't move forward?

There’s clay underneath, somewhere, says DH. But it’s way deeper than 2 inches, a sedan style car would never get through it. We used to have a lifted Jeep Cherokee that couldn’t make it through before DH worked on drainage. I have a Lexus SUV and it’s questionable getting through!

They worked on our road this morning! I have a feeling someone told the town half the roads weren’t accessible for school buses… hence working on a Sunday!

Should be around 50 today, spring is coming!

sometimes you can find people who want to dispose of concrete chunks so you can put in a base of that after rebuilding up the drive so it drains better. which reminds me i have to call the excavator guy to replace the drive culvert.

We lucked out and are one of the very few places around here without a culvert under our drive at the road. Those things can be a pain and expensive to replace.
