Out to pasture
You could say I rescued some goat kids this week, sort of. Maybe
They are the result of breeding dairy goats for milk. The dairy keeps some of the kids, but they need to get rid of many extras. If they cannot sell them to people like me, or give them to a lady who raises bottle babies and then sells them in her area (about 3 hours from here), The dairy farm has to take them to auction. The lady told me that she hates doing that, because she worries that the kids won't be cared for properly.
So I kind of sort of saved my two kids from the posibility of having to go to auction and ending up with a careless person.
