I canned 8 pints of sugar-spice applesauce, 7 quarts of tomato sauce. I have a pot full of unsweetened applesauce in the fridge to can up tonight (hopefully) and then start picking more tomatoes and apples! I estimated needing 28 quarts of tomato sauce for the next year. 21 to go...

I canned up 6 and 1/2 pint jars of dill pickle relish, and I have 7 pints in the canner as we speak of dill pickle spears. Unfortunately I had to buy cucumbers because my vines did absolutely NOTHING (ONE cuke only, all summer long!). I dunno, maybe they got shaded out too quickly by the volunteer potatoes in the bed?

I keep my canning rings in two bags I crocheted- one for each size. I like the idea of having just wide-mouth, but my supplies have been largely gifted to me so I didn't have much choice. I'm not willing to get rid of the regular mouth jars because we all know that "She Who Dies With The Most Canning Jars Wins" lololol.

I'm officially jealous of all of you!!
I am sooo ready to can, and haven't had anything to can yet this year (the only stuff I have canned was gifted to me!) I'm hoping to get enough cucumbers this fall to actually can something!
I have dehydrated a few things (but all store bought except a few Asian pears and some okra and some peppers)
Here's what I've got to show for my canning efforts so far this year: :gig

.) I'm really really hoping this falls garden grows better than the spring garden did...

@milkmansdaughter you are miles ahead of me! LOL With the moving and other stuff going on in my life, I have a wonderful book on canning (thank you @waretrop) and nothing else yet. I did look at a canner in a supermarket a few weeks ago quickly and wondered about it… But I'm not going to impulse buy equipment. Need to do some homework first and make sure I get good stuff.

I'm hoping by this time next year I'll be set up and have some garden produce to can, so I post my beautiful and yum looking work here as well :)

Sumi, ALL of my canning equipment including a large and small canner were given to me before I moved here (except the strainer which I got when a store was going out of business.) Now I'll have to go get a book! :D
I have canned before, but it's been a loooong time. I have been using a dehydrator, but I really have very little set up for emergency supplies.
