Even though I am diabetic, I just can't get into using anything but real sugar when I cook or can. So, I don't eat much of it. I do use Splenda in my coffee, which I am sure doesn't sit well with some, but the other stuff tastes nasty to me.
My dad is diabetic as well, and last year I made him some sugar free jam. He threw it out. But then again, he's not particularly nice most of the time.

Don't say that. It is so satisfying being able to open 4 jars and have an entire meal for your family. You should eat each and every one of those jars with pride and satisfaction.
