Half way through the taco rocks. Took a break and dried some jalapeno, Thai and super chili peppers. Now, just walking into my kitchen makes my eyes water
I do all of those, along with onions, in the sun room with the door shut.

Oooh--peppers! I've never dried them!

I need to dehydrate mint soon. We drink a load of mint tea through the winter.

third load of cayenne peppers, for being so skinny they sure take a while. I do dry them at 115 cause I read somewhere this retained the Vitamin C

I scramble them then spread them on the dehydrator trays. When they are very dry I grind them up and vacuum seal them in a mason jar. We've been using them for baking and when we go camping. I've been been mixing them at 2tblsp mix to 3tblsp warm water per egg. I figure we'll use most of it this winter when the girls aren't laying much.

I've found that big pieces don't grind well so I break the eggs into small pieces. Eggs don't take very long to dry.

I've got a load of mint to pull out of the dehydrator, then a load of choc-mint to get in when I have time.

DS did a batch of turkey jerky last week that is excellent!
